📖 DESCRIPTION
A mysterious predator that terrorized Bladenboro in late 1953 and early 1954. It killed dogs and livestock by draining their blood without consuming flesh. Described as cat-like but much larger.

- ►Armed posses hunted the creature, eventually killing a bobcat claimed to be responsible
🎭 CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE
The Beast of Bladenboro caused a media sensation in 1954. Hunters from across the country descended on the town. Though a bobcat was killed, many believe the real creature was never caught. The town now hosts an annual 'Beast Fest.'
